How to be a good Ranker in JEE?

For getting a good rank, smart work is more important than hard work. For a good rank, your plan and strategy will more matter than your effort.

From two consecutive years, you can see that the questions asked in physics are easier in comparison to past years (so, PYQ for physics can be a loss of time, except 2025 PYQ)

Now, your key to JEE is both chemistry & Physics. So, complete all the chapters on the basic level. Try to practice to answer the questions orally rather than first writing the formula and then putting values, in most of the questions. This will lead to save your time and you will be able to attempt more questions, and more questions means more marks.

For physics you must be dependent on – a.) a little bit on H C verma (also its objective questions) b.) and mostly on a basic book like – M Karim.

For chemistry & Maths, you must prepare from any standard book and then must cover your PYQs.

In Physics & chemistry cover your 100% syllabus, which is not necessary for Maths.

As maths questions are more tougher and lengthy, you would not get much time to solve them.(NOTE- in JEE exam, first solve chemistry & physics then at last you should give time for maths). So, a target of 12 to 18 questions in maths will be a good one. So, some chapters in which you are not good can be avoided and time to prepare those chapters can be given to enhance your performance in targeted chapters.

It means that in Maths, rather than giving time to improve your weak chapters, give time to make best out of your strong chapters.
